Buzz mobile setup for a local Mac relay

Run Buzz locally.
Take your agents with you.

Run your Buzz community and managed agents locally on your Mac while using the same community from your phone. Only the relay is exposed through ngrok; Buzz, PostgreSQL, and local application data remain on the Mac.

Simple architecture

Buzz stays local. The relay becomes reachable.

Mac Local Buzz + PostgreSQL app data stays here
Buzz relay localhost:3000 local HTTP/WSS
ngrok HTTPS/WSS stable endpoint public relay URL
Clients Desktop + Mobile + Agents same community

Three steps

A local-first path to a mobile agent team.

  1. 1

    Run Buzz locally

Keep Buzz, PostgreSQL, and local application data on your Mac. The toolkit works with a local Buzz checkout and stable desktop release tags.

  2. 2

    Expose the relay

Use a stable ngrok endpoint for the local Buzz relay. The script generates the ngrok Traffic Policy so the Host header matches your relay URL.

  3. 3

    Connect from mobile

Point Desktop, Mobile, and managed agents at the same Buzz community. Use Buzz agents from iPhone without moving the full installation to a cloud host.

Quick start

After the Buzz checkout and ngrok domain are configured, daily startup is intentionally short.

export NGROK_DOMAIN="my-domain.ngrok-free.dev"
./buzz-online.sh start

Mobile is part of the test surface

Your agent team does not have to stop at your laptop.

This is for testing and using the same Buzz community and local AI agent team mobile flow from the phone while the actual Buzz installation keeps running locally on the Mac.

The page shows a conceptual phone illustration, not a product screenshot: the repository provides operational tooling, not a hosted Buzz app.
